Windows 7 vs. Vista
i have tested Windows 7 retail version and all i can say is.. Fan Bleeding Tastic!!
Finally Microsoft got their act together. i thought Microsoft was going to mess up Windows 7 like they did with Vista at the beginning' but they didn't. Everything seems to work much better than all the beta version of Windows 7 I tested, and i think its probably even better than vista.
I did hours of multitasking, opened multiple editing software and edited for many hours and left them open for over 24 hours and not a single crash, freeze, or glitches occurred.
i have tested out Windows 7 for a couple days now' and it's a stable OS but it will have some minor problems like incompatible issues and a few glitches but as a whole!! The OS its very reliable and stable.

The La Canada Station Fire's smoke plume is visible all over southern California. Here you can watch it literally explode into a pyrocumulous cloud in the second shot. These two timelapse shots were captured via digital camera and are presented around 75x actual speed (a little over a minute of actual time per second of viewing). The mushroom cloud effect is amazing evidence of the fire's power. Also amazing is how fast the plume moves, even when viewed from many, many miles away

The Hubble Ultra Deep Field in 3D
I've recently discovered an animation that was rendered using the measured redshift of all 10,000 galaxies in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field image.
I've written a short script that leads you through a quick history of both deep field images and this video ends with a fly-through of the Ultra Deep Field.
Every galaxy in the image is in its proper distance as viewed from the telescope line of sight.
As if this image wasn't amazing enough.

STS-128 Launch
With seven astronauts and a host of experiments and equipment on board, space shuttle Discovery completed a flawless ascent into orbit Friday night to begin a two-day chase of the International Space Station. With Commander Rick "C.J. " Sturckow at the controls, the shuttle lifted off on-time at 11:59 p.m. EDT from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The crew will rendezvous and dock with the station Sunday and the crew will begin transferring equipment to the outpost during the 13-day mission.
After flying up on Discovery, Nicole Stott will trade places with station resident Tim Kopra, who went into space last month aboard Endeavour. Equipment and science racks for the orbiting laboratory are riding inside the Leonardo cargo module, which is secured tightly inside Discovery's payload bay. The module will be lifted out of Discovery and locked onto the station so the crew can transfer the gear efficiently. The treadmill named for comedian Stephen Colbert also is aboard Discovery and destined for the station.
